It's been a while, but we were finally able to get out for another walk at another local park. This time, we headed up past New Milford, and walked to the top of Kent Falls.

I had never been to Kent Falls before, but have heard great things. The first thing I noticed when we pulled into the parking lot, was the huge field where people were spending the day enjoying the sun. Leading to the field, are two bridges on either side of the parking lot. One of the bridges is a covered bridge, and covered bridges are always fun to walk through.

We headed up the path, and saw the bottom of the falls. It's a beautiful area and it just makes you want to take pictures. The falls pool is at the bottom, and while it may look inviting, there are a lot of signs that tell you not to enter the water.

Once we passed the bottom of the falls, we started our climb up to the top. There are a lot of stairs to climb, but there are areas to stop off and take pictures.

The views are beautiful and I love the areas on the rocks where you can see how the water has smoothed them down over the years. Some of the smooth areas look like funnels where the water escapes to the next level.

Once you reach the top, you can either head back down the stairs or take a trail through the woods. We opted to take the trail through the woods for a change of scenery, and it brings you back to the bottom by the field.

There are some picnic tables set up in the field, so you can bring your lunch and enjoy the views while you eat. They also have a building with restrooms located on the side of the field.

We really enjoyed this park. It's a nice climb, because it's not too difficult, but it's a good workout. Plus, the views are great.

Have you ever made the climb at Kent Falls?
