A huge pothole opened up on I-84 this morning that you'll want to avoid.

With all of that snow finally melting in our area, the inevitable appearance of numerous potholes has begun. Roads and parking lots have become hard to navigate, with large sinkholes cropping up almost before our eyes.

On Tuesday morning an enormous pothole was causing traffic headaches on I-84 in Orange County, NY. The pothole is located on the Eastbound lanes between exits two and three.

Traffic reporter, Nancy Reamy, noted that a few cars were actually damaged by the pothole that surprised many drivers. Police were on the scene to assist with the disabled vehicles and the Department of Transportation was dispatched to try and fix the pothole before it claimed any more cars.

The left lane was closed down leading to 17M because of the pothole, causing traffic to bottle up on the Eastbound side.
