The food truck phenomena has become a big-time gastronomical event and downtown Danbury is jumping on board every Thursday through the summer.

It's called the Downtown Chow-Down, where every Thursday through September 28, three awesome food trucks will be open for lunch in downtown Danbury at Kennedy Park across the street from the new Kennedy Flats from 11 AM until 2 PM.

Downtown Chow-Down debuts this Thursday (July 13) at Kennedy Park with the Rice and Beans and Fork in the Road food trucks. Both of these roving restaurants get stellar reviews for their delicious menu options. Every review I've read about Rice and Beans has been praiseworthy, like this one from Colleen from their FB page,

So good, fresh and filling, so tasty, worth the drive wherever they are parked for the day!

The word on the street is their guacamole is to die for.

The Fork in the Road food trucks hails from Brewster, NY and Wandering Dave's menu runs the gamut from Buttermilk Fried Chicken to Skirt Steak Tacos to delicious Lobster Rolls.
