All the "good boys" out there have a new place to do their business.

The City of Danbury announced via their Facebook Page that ground has officially been broken at a future dog park at 76 Miry Brook Road. They also posted a bunch of photos from the ceremony that took place earlier today.

The plans call for two separate areas, one for large dogs, and one for smaller breeds. As an owner of two Chihuahuas, I really appreciate this bit of thoughtfulness. My pups are not very social, due to the fact that they're the size of a St. Bernard's paw, and even medium insects could overpower them. Keeping them away from the bigger beasts is a plus.

If you're not in Danbury, there are dog parks in lots of neighboring towns, here are five where you could get out and give your little friends some sunshine, socializing, and exercise.

Southbury Dog Park: 236 Roxbury Rd. - Southbury, CT

New Fairfield Dog Park: 56 Gillotti Rd. - New Fairfield, CT

New Milford Dog Park: 44 Picket District Rd. - New Milford, CT

Spencer's Run Dog Park: Waveny Park - New Canaan, CT

Stamford Dog Park: 39 Cortland Ave. - Stamford, CT
