I love that clip of Harlan Williams that Ethan and Lou play!

Makes me laugh every time. So, as I was walking out of my humble abode the other morning, I had to tap-dance around all of these poor little dried up worms. Now, I know that we REALLY need worms. They're essential to heatlhy soil, and they eat basically anything in the dirt, and the dirt itself. So, they're cool in my book. BUT, I always wondered why do these poor little critters always die on pavement? Do they drown in rainstorms? Do they just get tired of walking with their boys and say "No more, go on without me..."? So, I did some digging...huh huh... and came up with this: Worms breathe through their SKIN.  So, when it rains, at night, when it's nice and cool out, they go hunting for nice leaves and other stuff to munch on. But, as a man who calls himself Large will tell you, sometimes we go too far for that special food treat. And in the case of poor little worms, sometimes 1 foot is a bit too far. They get caught in their own personal version of the Mojave desert, and just dry out and suffocate in the space of 15 minutes of direct sunlight, or dry pavement that they can't burrow back down into. Awwwww. So, if you see one still wiggling, give that poor little fella a shove back towards the nice, lush lawn. Or put it on a hook and catch a delicious Bass that I, and Mrs. Large, will gladly enjoy!
