My wife's addicted. The signs are there, because she disappears for two hours twice a week, and comes home with a weird, happy look on her face.

I think my wife, Mindy, is addicted to dancing. Every Sunday and Monday evening she leaves the house, red cowboy boots in hand and drives off to JK Shuffles in New Milford where she spends two hours learning how to line dance.

Ever since the two of us learned how to dance for the Dancing With Our Stars Gala on April 23, thanks to Arthur Murray in Danbury, the addiction worsens.

It's worse than I thought. An article in the NewsTimes claims that Salsa dancing is now more than just a hobby, it's a lifestyle. Latin dance instructor, Lou Lopez, from Latin Moves Dance Studio in Stamford told the NewsTimes that the salsa is addictive, and once you get the salsa bug, you can't get rid of it. He went on to say that the more his students learn, the happier and more confident they get.

Mindy has told me, in no uncertain terms, that we must return to Arthur Murray in Danbury and learn a dance to our own signature song, so we can call this our special dance together. She actually told our kids, who were going to throw us a 40th Wedding Anniversary party, not to do it, but instead buy us a gift certificate to Arthur Murray. Is there such a thing as an inpatient dance addiction facility?

Here's the thing, how can you not love someone for 40 years who owns a pair of red cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat with a feather on top! Now, that's one classy cowgirl. We celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary at the end of May. In case you're interested, the songs we're considering for our signature dance are "Fly Me to the Moon" and "I Get a Kick Out of You" by Sinatra, "Save the Last Dance For Me" from Buble, and "Tonight" from West Side Story. Arthur Murray/Danbury, are you up for the challenge?!
