If you're a dyed in the wool,100%, bona fide St. Patrick's Day fan, the letdown on March 18th can be crushing.  Luckily, Danbury's Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center are keeping the party going straight through Sunday, so there is still plenty of corned beef, soda bread, Irish music and beer to be had.

Saturday night, Danbury's Irish rockers, the Mighty Ploughboys, will perform at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, along with the bluegrass and roots rock of Union Rail. Plus the Celtic Cross Pipe & Drums will provide the bagpipe music. Cover charge is $10 and includes your Coors Light until the keg kicks.

Sunday, the Greater Danbury St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off from St. Peter's Church on Main Street at 3 PM.  The parade heads up Main Street to West Street, and ends at the Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Avenue.  All are invited to the Irish Cultural Center after the parade for more merrymaking including corned beef sandwiches, music from Chicks 'N Sync and Steve O'Tree, and step dancers from the Gray School of Irish Dance.
