Danbury Police have issued a statement on their Facebook page thanking the public in helping them find the person who lost a big sum of money last month.

On June 30, 2018, a good samaritan found the cash in the parking lot of Walmart on Newtown Road in Danbury. There was no contact information or anything with the bills that could help to identify the owner. Danbury Police took to their Facebook page on July 4 and posted a plea to help find the person that the money belonged to.

It only took a couple of days to locate the person who lost the money and they will be reunited with their cash very soon. Yesterday morning (July 7) Danbury Police placed a post on Facebook thanking the public for their assistance. No other information has been released in order to keep the Good Samaritan and the owner names confidential.
