Sad and scary news to report.

I cringe every time I hear a story like this. I'm one of those people that gets jittery while driving down tree lined roads, especially on very windy days. But beyond that, when I see a tree leaning to far or looking questionable, I can't help but think it's going to fall on my car.

That's exactly what happened in Avon, Connecticut this week.

In a report from wfsb.com, a Connecticut man was killed in a freak accident. The man, 52-year-old, Steve Roussel of Unionville, was a school bus driver in Avon. According to police, Roussel was driving the empty bus when a large tree limb struck it. The tree limb apparently caused the bus to crash into a utility pole and killed him.

Avon Police Lt. John Schmalberger told wfsb.com:

It's terrible any time you have to come to a scene like this. Our hearts go out to the family members and all involved

Thank God no children were on the bus at the time, but its still so very sad for the whole community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Roussel's family.
