Things you need to know on July 27.

Thanks to MetroNews Source for the following.

  • United Illuminating and its parent company now owns a two-point-five-percent interest in Northeast Expansion LLC. That company's NED project will install nearly 190 miles of natural gas pipeline from New York through Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Not everyone is on board though.Groups like MoveOn.org, are opposing the pipeline because it will allegedly include natural gas that's produced by fracking in some areas.
  • Hoping to help end the tragedy of hot car deaths. An infant car seat made by Evenflo has a sensor on the harness that sets off a series of tones if the baby is still buckled in when the car is turned off. The seat is available now on Walmart.com and it will be in stores by mid-August. It will be sold exclusively at Walmart for the first year.
  • Here's a fashion trend you can really get behind. Bono is set to launch a line of sunglasses by partnering with Revo. Ten dollars from every sale of the Bono-designed sunglasses will be donated to Revo's "Buy Vision, Give Sight" initiative, which provides eye health care in poor communities around the world. Bono's collection of sunglasses are expected to debut sometime this fall.
  • Let's go shopping. A company spokeswoman says the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport models will go on sale at more than 300 Best Buy stores starting August 7th. Best Buy will be the first retailer other than Apple's own stores to sell the Apple Watch.
