  • With Veterans Day in mind it's good to know that Connecticut is taking steps to help veterans,who have ended up in state prison, find better ways to get back into society. The Department of Correction has created a veterans unit at a reintegration unit they operate in Enfield. CT.GOV

 

  • Truly a sight to see. The USS NEW YORK is a ship made with over seven tons of steel reclaimed from the World Trade Center. The ship is in New York City ahead of Veterans Day. The USS New York recently returned from deployment in the Middle East.

 

  • SeaWorld officials say they plan to phase out the Shamu shows at the San Diego theme park. The park has seen much lower attendance since the release of the film "Blackfish".

 

  • The terminally ill Texas man whose dying wish was to see the new "Star Wars" movie ahead of its December release has died. Daniel Fleetwood was treated to a private screening of the movie at his home last week. NBC.NEWS
