Fair and Festival Season kicks into high gear this weekend, and whatever your favorite kind of music is, you won't have to travel far to hear it. Here's a rundown of some of the great live music happening in the state this weekend.

First and foremost is the Bridgewater Fair, which runs all weekend at the fairgrounds on Rt. 133 in Bridgewater. The musical entertainment Saturday night is courtesy of Big Shot, Mike DelGiudice's amazing Billy Joel tribute show. (That's Mike on the other side of Billy's piano in the photo.)

Rush fans will be treated to a free night of Rush music from the nationally acclaimed Rush tribute band Limelight, playing a free show Friday night on the Danbury Green.

Saturday, the Ives Concert Park in Danbury hosts Forever Grateful, a 10-band celebration of the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, the Allman Brothers and Bob Marley with music on two stages.

The Milford Oyster Festival happens Saturday, with two national acts on the main stage. Long Island's legendary Blue Oyster Cult performs at 2 PM, with Southern rockers the Marshall Tucker Band at 3:45.

Torrington's Feussenich Park hosts the Fuse Fest on Saturday, with an impressive lineup of homegrown talent including acclaimed blues artists Jeff Pitchell, Chris Tofield and the D. Smith Blues Band.
