  • Take note.The CT  Department of Motor Vehicles is reminding residents that all license and registration renewals are extended until Oct. 10. The deadline extension is for any vehicle registration, driver's license or ID card that expires on or after Aug. 11.
  • Are your photos blurry? It might NOT be you! Apple is fixing faulty cameras on iPhones at no charge to customers. Apple says a batch of phones sold between September 2014 and January 2015 may have defective components in the camera. Owners are encouraged to take their phone to an Apple store or call customer service to swap. Wireless carriers will not be able to fix the camera.
  • More "topless" backlash. Governor Cuomo has joined the fight to get rid of the Times Square "Painted Ladies." Cuomo has sent state troopers into Times Square to figure out whether the topless ladies, their handlers, and the costumed characters are violating state labor laws. He says if they are a business, then taxes and workers comp need to be paid.
  • Two Iowa men accused of threatening violence at the Pokemon World Championship are facing weapons charges. Boston police say Kevin Norton and James Stumbo posted threats on social media last Thursday. Officers stopped the men as they tried to enter the event Saturday. Authorities say Norton and Stumbo drove to Boston with several weapons in their vehicle, including a 12-gauge shotgun, an AR-15 rifle, and several hundred rounds of ammunition.
