Counting My Blessings

I've just come to the realization that I've spent a little over half of my 63 years here at I-95. All I ever wanted to do since I was 14 was to be, "on the radio." There was that six month period when I was thinking of becoming a priest......not kidding!

I told myself if I had to work a 40 hour a week job as an adult, why can't it be something I loved to do? The motivating factor was the vivid memory of my father hating his job which I'm sure contributed to his fatal heart attack at the young age of 40. The life lesson I tried to teach my kids as they were growing up was to pursue a personal passion that could be turned into their life's work.

I consider myself an incredibly lucky guy! I'm doing exactly what I dreamed about and then set out to do. I have a wife I adore and three awesome grownup kids, and now, a two month old grandson who is absolutely perfect! I've found that through all these years, a happy and fulfilled Mom and Dad help make their kids the same.
