For the Mayor of  Hartford, and this cluster of you-know-what over the Dunkin' Donuts Stadium, has got to be a huge thorn in his side. Will it ever open, or will Connecticut strike out?

Want to watch some great baseball in Connecticut? We have some awesome talent playing on fantastic fields in our home state. Check out the New Britain Bees and the wonderful New Britain Stadium that they call home. I've been there often, and it's worth a trip from anywhere.

You can also travel to The Ballpark at Harbor Yard to watch the Bridgeport Bluefish do battle.

Take a trip out to Norwich to cheer on the Connecticut Tigers in action. Their home stadium is known as Dodd Stadium, which has been opened since 1995. An important point to note is that Dodd Stadium is where the HARTFORD Yard Goats have been playing games because of the massive delays in opening the stadium in Hartford.

For me, it's very unlikely that my butt will ever be in that stadium. Now, it looks like maybe nobody's will. According to the Hartford Courant, the City of Hartford is deciding on what appropriate action to take against the developer of the Dunkin Donuts Stadium.  A special meeting of the Hartford Stadium Authority is scheduled for May 26 to determine the next course of action.

I'm waiting for the shoe to drop and for Hartford to pull the plug on the deal. Such a sad outcome for the former New Britain Rock Cats, who enjoyed the love of fans in the very nice New Britain Stadium.
