Each dog is trained to detect all narcotics including heroin and fetanyl. All of these intelligent canine specimens are of the Labrador breed and come from the 'Guiding Eyes for the Blind' in New York and all graduated Summa Cum Laude after an intense 11 week training regimen.  From left to right - Shamus, Hogan, Iowa, Yodel, Josefina, Putnam, Conner and David.

This photo was taken at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. CSP Canine teams worked alongside many other agencies beyond exhaustion during the intensive search for victims and survivors.

Back in the 60's, the CSP began using German Shepards  for tracking and recovering of evidence. There are many people who are alive today because of the CSP dog teams.

This passage is taken from 'Your Family Pet Magazine' in 1870.

"The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man may have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him and the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. When the last scene of all comes, and death takes the master in its' embrace and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by his graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his sad eyes open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even to death."
