Beer - Good! About 680 beers and ciders from breweries and cideries across the U.S and from around the world took part in the 19th Annual Great International Beer & Cider Competition in Providence, Rhode Island last month and our tiny state of Connecticut took home 21 awards in ten separate categories!

Raise your mug and let's toast the Connecticut breweries that led the way;

Two Roads Brewing(Stratford)  kicked major ass in this years competition! They won First Place in these categories: Wheat Beer/American, Wheat Beer/German, Black IPA, Strong-Russion Imperial Stout, Sour Wild Beers/American, Sour Wild Beer/Flanders Red Brown, Sour Wild Beers/Fruit Lambic, Sour Wild Beers/Lambic, Belgian/French-Saison

Two Roads Brewing(Stratford) also took home three 2nd Place awards and one 3rd Place award!

 Firefly Hollow Brewing(Bristol) won 1st Place in the "British/Irish Ale" category and 1st Place in the "American Amber Ale" category!

Also taking home an award was the Bru Rm. @Bar in New Haven for their Harvest Brown Ale and Relic Brewing in Plainville for their Rococo Belgian Dark Strong. You can get the complete list of winners by clicking here.
