If only they had never been in our state.

After all the twist, turns and appeals in this years-long case, the bad rubbish has been moved from Connecticut.

Once Connecticut abolished the death penalty, the Cheshire home invasion killers were no longer on death row. Steven Hayes was resentenced to life in prison in June. Joshua Komisarjevsky was resentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in July.

In a story from nhregister.com, Steven Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky were transferred to the Pennsylvania Department of Correction last week. Word is that the transfer was made for safety and security reasons. It's part of what's called the Interstate Corrections Compact where participating states will accept inmates from each other in special circumstances.

Considering what these animals did, and the fact that they should never see the light of day again, one can only imagine how dicey being housed in any prison in Connecticut would be. I don't believe Hayes and Komisarjevsky should ever feel a moment of safety and calm again no matter where they serve their life sentences.
