Jerry Springer bodyguard turned TV talk show host, Steve Wilkos, may be able to rid himself of a Driving While Intoxicated charge related to an automobile crash earlier in the year, in Darien Connecticut. He must participate in the Connecticut diversionary program, which he was allowed access to by the court today, according to US News.

This program enables him to take part in a 15 week educational course where he will encounter victims of drunk driving, and engage in a forum with them. This agreement was reached in Connecticut Superior Court in Stamford.

Following his Darien car accident where he demolished his car, he was transported by emergency vehicle to Stamford Hospital. It was determined his blood-alcohol level had been over three times what is permitted by law to operate a motor vehicle, at 0.29.

Steve Wilkos, the host of “The Steve Wilkos Showadmits that the incident was “a complete lapse in judgment".
