Certified Professional Résumé Writers from the Connecticut Department of Labor will also be at each career fair to review and critique résumés, and offer employment tips and suggestions. Additionally, a series of information sessions facilitated by Labor Department employees will provide an overview of services and free workshops offered at American Job Center offices, including reemployment strategies and job search techniques, computer skills, and hiring incentive programs such as Connecticut’s Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up), which provides wage and training subsidies to employers that hire an unemployed jobseeker.
