Road trip, baby. If you or someone you know is a car buff and racing fan, then this drive through Connecticut is totally worthwhile. Put the yard work aside this weekend, and take a drive to the Northeast corner of Connecticut for a different kind of shopping experience.

I know a lot of people that are race fanatics, car buffs, and flea market fans. I found an event that rolls that all into one big bundle of joy.

Don Hoenig's Original Flea Market & Swap Meet presented by RacingJunk.com  is underway at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Whether it's race cars, parts, tools, tires, or even winter clothing, you're going to be able to track -- see what I did there? -- it down at one of the largest automotive swap meets in New England.

What a cool way to spend some time this weekend poking around and satisfying your need for speed. Don Hoenig's Original Flea Market & Swap Meet is this weekend. Open Friday Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday Nov. 5 & 6 from 7a.m. - 5 p.m.  General admission $11, children - 12 and under - are free.

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park is around a two hour drive from the Danbury area. But what the hell, if you love all things car related, you probably love to drive. The speedway is on 205 E. Thompson Road, out in, you guessed it,Thompson, CT.

Buy me something cool, and fast.
