Can You Smell The Dark Roast? Starbucks is Coming to Waterbury

Waterbury's first stand-alone Starbucks looks ready to open.

As I drove down West Main Street in Waterbury, a familiar Green Goddess looked down upon me. That logo is very famous, and it's flying high in the 1200 block. The parking lot is done and painted, The awnings have been installed, and the drive-through signs are posted. It looks like we are days away from brewing!

Waterbury's first stand alone Starbucks looks very nice from the outside, it's on the site of a former gas station on West Main Street at the intersection with Robbing Street. I'm sure baristas have to be hired and trained, but, the physical plant looks ready to roll. I'm really happy to see a national retailer move in to our neighborhood.
