I know I'm overweight. I know it's not healthy, especially for a 63 year old guy. I think about it every single day knowing what I need to do to take off those 30 to 50 pounds. I've had trouble with my weight since I was 11 and it sucks!

I've tried everything from Weight Watchers to herbal supplements, to hypnotism. The fact that I'm a chubby middle aged guy is nobody's fault but my own. I've learned there are no easy shortcuts to weight loss. I'm convinced that most weight loss can be attained by eating less and exercising more, unless there's an all-in-one pill out there that melts off the pounds, decreases cholesterol and body fat, and can keep my mouth shut so I'll stop eating. Like many of you who are overweight, I beat myself up every day because I can't seem to get it together. I can't even offer up some good excuses because that's just what they are...."Excuses!"

I do want to thank Rob, the owner of No Limits Fitness in Brookfield along with cardio trainer, Cassie Dunn, for helping me get into the best shape of my life 6 or 7 years ago when they took me under their wing. During that 10 week program, I had dropped 20 pounds and went from 29% to 19% body fat all because of them. And then one day I pulled into the gym and decided to take the day off but then ended up never going back. Who does that?!!!!!! What's the purpose for this blog you ask? It's a reminder that you're not alone when it comes to obsessing about your weight every single day. We know what we must do. The hard part is actually "doing it."
