Every year, the i95 staff layers up, gets outside, and collects non-perishable food items for the Hillside Food Outreach. This yea, we are in the Plum Trees Plaza in Danbury and we get started tomorrow morning.

I know it's hard to believe that we have people who are "in need" in our local area, but we do indeed. The Hillside Food Outreach is the amazing organization that gets food to these people. They are our partners on Camping for Can every year.

We will be collecting those non-perishables, cash and checks made out to the Hillside Food Outreach starting tomorrow morning at 5:30 am and going until 4 pm on Sunday. The RV from Dave's RV will be manned around the clock during that time so you can drop your donation anytime this weekend.

Please come and hang with us, talk, laugh and do whatever you can to help out. Camping for Cans is special to me for two reasons. First and foremost it's a chance to feel good about doing good. Second, we are outside talking with and meeting our listeners. It really is our best opportunity to spend time with the i95 listeners. Please join us.

Special thanks to our sponsors - Down the Hatch, Sikorsky Credit Union, Bruce Bennett Nissan, Creative Bath, Scott's Landscaping, Black Swan Hearth and Home, Texas Roadhouse, Cartwright & Daughters Tent & Party Rentals, Dave's RV and the Plum Trees Plaza. We could not do it without these folks. Also thanks to Halas Farm Market for bringing "Willy the Turkey." Thanks to Lesser Evil for donating a truck to transport the food as well.
