"The one constant through all the years has been baseball. Baseball has marked the time. This field, this game is part of our past Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good and it could be again. People will come Ray." That was James Earl Jones from "Field of Dreams," the best baseball movie ever, where I sobbed at the very end when Ray asked his Dad if he wanted to have a catch......completely lost it.

Bucket list item #5 is to take a summer off and visit each and every major league ballpark in the USA. So we're talking 30 MLB stadiums with ticket prices between $20 and $90. Let's say we spend $50 a ticket so we don't have to sit in the nosebleeds. So that's $100 per game times 30 games equals $3,000. Snacks and food and beer, let's figure $50 per game which add up to $1,500. So now the total so far is $4,500. We'll be driving cross country by car, so figure $700 for gas. Now we're up to $5,200 and we haven't factored in meals, hotels, etc.

Never mind, I'll just buy a 62" wide screen TV and buy the MLB package from my cable provider and Whamo, I've just saved myself about $6,000.
