Police are investigating a robbery that happened Monday afternoon at the Federal Road branch of Union Savings Bank.

 

The robbery was reported by bank personnel shortly after 4 PM on Monday afternoon.

According to newstimes.com, Police reported a lone white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black, pull-over style hooded sweatshirt, a black knit cap and black sunglasses entered the Federal Road Union Savings Bank branch carrying a black backpack and demanded money from the teller drawers. The suspect did not display any weapon or claim to be armed, but told tellers not to call police or they would be harmed.

The suspect fled the bank on foot and headed towards Brookfield Lanes. The Danbury Police Department K-9 Unit also responded to join the search with Brookfield Police.They K-9's tracked the suspect thru the parking lots, where the track was lost.
