Jayce Correia has an 8-year-old son Jared, who was born with hydrocephalus, which is a brain condition caused by a stroke. Jared is Jayce's hero. Grab some tissues and watch this video.

Jayce told the Newstimes, "Jared had a school delay which left us some extra time before the bus came. Knowing that Jared loves music, I put a song on and the lyrics just pored out of me."

Correia is a songwriter by profession and works as a tire installer. He and his wife Shirley face what seem to be insurmountable challenges but after Jared began attending St. Vincent's Special Needs Services School in Trumbull, he began sitting up which is something that he couldn't do before.

He's able to find food on his tray and bring it to his mouth. For Jared and children like him, it's the baby steps their kids accomplish that are so important to the their Moms and Dads.
