I understand that many of us take on part time jobs to supplement our income, but this genius is allegedly peddling heroin!

The genius I speak of is a hairstylist in Bridgeport according to the NewsTimes. On Tuesday (August 16), Steven Ortiz was charged with of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of school property along with criminal possession of ammunition. Police say that he was selling heroin and pot on the side.

The NewsTimes article says that Ortiz told police he likes to help people out. He then went on to tell them:

I know people that use heroin so I will help them out you know, they will put some money in my pocket, that's just basically how it goes.

Police told the NewsTimes that Ortiz was selling 40 bundles of heroin a week! I understand that you have to make ends meet sir, but good God man, selling heroin to "help people out"? My son, who was addicted to heroin, and then on methadone for five years was not being "helped out" by people like this guy. I'm thrilled to report my son is now completely drug free.

Police did raid Ortiz's home, where they found 100 bundles of heroin along with some marijuana and ammunition for two weapons. Instead of dealing drugs, you can find legal alternatives in the part time job department at indeed.com or simplyhired.com. Ortiz was released from custody after posting a $50,000 bond.
