Even black bears need a little peace and quiet, and this bear found it in a tree in Danbury.

The NewsTimes reported that a black bear was trying to run away from a Danbury police officer, climbed a tree in a residential section of Danbury. The neighborhood went nuts!

The bear was minding his own business, taking a leisurely stroll through a peaceful Danbury neighborhood, when a police officer spotted the 248-pound black bear, and demanded to see his bear credentials. When the bear refused to hand them over, instead of just running away like most well-informed bears would, this dumb ass decided that climbing a tree was his best option.

Moronic move there, Mr. Beary McBearyson! The police got all uppity with the bear, the neighbors came out with their cameras and tried to get the bear's autograph. When asked where he had been living, the bear replied he'd been relaxing in a tree in a residential neighborhood off Lake Ave. The next thing you know, the police, fearing that the bear would eat everyone in sight instead of posing for pictures, called the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, who came down and had to tranquilize the bear.

Please do not feed the bears so you do not become food for the bears. The tranquilized bear was taken back into the wild to be released so that he can be reunited with his fellow beary friends.
