The ride to remember Joey Awlasewicz who tragically died in 2014 is set for September 24.

According to a news release, Joey lost his life in an ATV accident in June of 2014 and was the grandson of race car driver Louis Funk Jr. The money raised by the ride on September 24 goes toward a scholarship fund for a Shepaug High School senior in Joey's name. The ride takes off from Hurlburt Park in Roxbury on Sunday, September 24. Registration starts at 9:30am and kickstands up at 10:30am with a barbecue lunch provided. The cost to participate is $30 for riders and $15 for passengers.
