Beware, I-84 to be Shut Down Sunday

For those of you traveling on I-84 through Waterbury early on Sunday morning, take notice, because the highway will be closed for 5 hours.According to State Police, I-84 will be closed from 12 midnight until 5am on Sunday, November 8. Both eastbound and westbound lanes at Exit 25 will be closed so utility lines can be placed over I-84, just west of the Scott Road Bridge.

More specifically, this is the area about 2 exits past the Brass City Mall. Here are the specific detours:

*I-84EB, Detour to EB Exit 25 off ramp, straight on Reidville Drive, and re-enter I-84 via           the 25 EB ramp.

*I-84WB, Detour to WB Exit 25 off ramp, straight onto Plank Road, and re-enter I-84 via the WB 25 on ramp.

Stay away from I-84, eastbound and westbound in Waterbury this Sunday morning, November 8, from Midnight until 5am.
