Police were called to Berry Elementary School in Bethel on Tuesday afternoon (September 26) when a man allegedly drove past stopped school buses with their red lights flashing and became verbally aggressive when school officials approached him.

Newstimes.com reports that school buses were waiting in the bus loop of Berry Elementary at the end of the school day yesterday when the incident occurred. When school officials approached 36-year-old Richard Holock of Danbury, he allegedly became "verbally abusive".

When he was told to park his vehicle, he reportedly then drove over the grass of the school campus. Bethel police were called and ended up arresting Holock.

Although the issue unfolded just when the students were being let out of school for the day at about 3:30 pm, dismissal was not affected and went on as usual.

Richard Holock is now facing charges of reckess driving, third degree criminal mischief, and breach of peace.
