Best Craft Beer Selections in Connecticut

Connecticut residents love their craft beer. You see them sweating over their selection as the bartenders give you the "I'll be with you when they decide" glance. Each of Connecticut's big cities has a standout establishment when it comes to unique and tasty beers, and here are a few that I like. Central Connecticut - Eli Cannon's  - 695 Main Street, Middletown. The innovator in Connecticut. Eli's started serving micro brews in the 90s. 36 different beers on tap. One of the best in Connecticut as far as variety, and consistently delivers in quality and selection.

New Haven area - MiKro Craft Beer Bar - 3000 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Currently features 18 different beers on tap. The food menu is great too!

Waterbury area - Pies & Pints - Three locations - 1 Store Road, Middlebury; 25 Leavenworth Street, Waterbury; and 143 Oxford Road, Oxford. Up to 25-30 different craft beers on tap at each location.

Danbury - Widow Brown's - 128 Federal Road, Danbury. 20 craft beers on tap. Widow's offers a 5oz glass in addition to their typical 16oz pour, good idea!

Hartford - Elbow Room - 986 Farmington Ave, West Hartford. 50 beers on tap, we have a winner! Located in the bustling Blue Back Square area of West Hartford, Elbow Room has been a beer lover's destination for years.
