Another Winter Storm Monday Into Tuesday for CT, NY
So last week we mentioned on the air that we haven't had much snow yet this year, and of course as soon as we said that, snow arrived.
We enjoyed 5 inches of snow in Brookfield outside our studios from the Saturday morning snow storm, but it looks like the entire Northeast could see a big one Monday into Tuesday.
Weather forecasters at the National Weather Service are saying at this point that blizzard conditions are possible for a good chunk of New England, along with heavy snow amounts for Connecticut and the Lower Hudson Valley in New York as well.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports they have already issued a Winter Storm Watch and Blizzard Watch from Monday at 1 pm to Wednesday at midnight for possible hazardous weather conditions.
Between Monday night where Greater Danbury could see 5-9 inches, and Tuesday where an additional 3-7 inches could fall, the area may easily see a foot or more of the white stuff!
If these totals pan out, consider yourself lucky, where the Boston area could see up to 2 feet of snow and heavy blizzard conditions. We will see what happens as the next two days roll on. As I always say with snow storms, BRING IT ON!
