Summer may be winding down, but there's still some fair fun to be found in Connecticut.

Weather looks great for this weekend. Pack up the family and take a drive to the other side of our state to enjoy the fruits of the earth. Enjoy a agriculture fair that is in it's 137th year!

The 137th annual Brooklyn Fair is underway now, and it's one of the oldest agricultural fairs in the nation. Do they have livestock competitions? You betcha. Do they have good old country fair competitions like arm wrestling, tractor pulls, and home and garden? You betcha. They even have a Christmas, yes I said CHRISTMAS Tree Show.

The 137th Brooklyn Fair has all that, and more. Click on Brooklyn Fair for a full schedule of events. They have a Playland of events for the kids as well as national recording artists hitting the main stage.

The fair opened Thursday and through Sunday, August 28. For directions go to brooklynfair.org
