Today (May 15) and tomorrow, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez will speak out publicly for the first time on the Dr. Phil Show about her fiance's death while in prison.

According to the Associated Press, she doesn't believe Hernandez took his own life.

To catch you up, according to CNN, Hernandez was chosen by the New England Patriots in the 4th round of the NFL draft in August of 2010. In June of 2013, police searched Hernandez's home in connection with a body found a mile away from his home. Four days later Hernandez is arrested and charged with first degree murder. From that point on the case begins to unfold against Hernandez which includes evidence he was also involved in a Boston double homicide in 2012. Hernandez was found guilty of first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd from 2013 and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

According to wfsb.com, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez will explain why she doesn't think Hernandez took his own life on April 19. She tells Dr. Phil in a two-part interview that runs today and tomorrow, the last conversation Aaron and Shayanna had was upbeat and positive and that he told her and her daughter,

Daddy's going to come home.

Only hours after that conversation, Hernandez was found dead in his cell. On May 9, a Massachusetts judge vacated Hernandez's murder conviction due to the rule of abatement, which means convictions are thrown out if the defendant dies before their appeal is heard. Will the entire story of what actually happened be revealed? Did Aaron Hernandez have a jailhouse lover? Does anyone really care?
