Did you see construction activity and fanfare on Plumtrees Road Friday?

That was the ceremony for a new regional firefighters training facility here in Danbury. According to a post on the NewsTimes.comcity and state officials gathered together to break ground on the new 6,500 square foot facility this past Thursday, Aug. 27.

It's going to be a three story building with a couple of classrooms and storage facilities that will ultimately be used to train firefighters from Danbury and other Western CT area firefighters.

The facility is slated to be completed by next Spring 2016. It's nice to see a reinvestment towards the many men and women that keep us safe day in and day out!
