Catherine, a victim of the Sandy Hook shootings, will be honored with an animal sanctuary to be built on a gorgeous stretch of state owned farmland. Catherine's mom Jennifer says that, "The property is stunning. Every time we visit, we're still in awe of its majesty!" First Selectman, Pat Llodra said, "The conveyance of this land is a significant step toward the creation of a sanctuary for all animals, in honor of a 6 year old with a passion for all creatures large and small, fuzzy and slimy."

To date $800,000 has been donated towards the planning of the sanctuary which will include walking paths, a learning center, butterfly and community gardens, and ongoing educational programs. "When the time comes for them to be reunited in the hereafter," Hubbard said she hopes Catherine will say, "We did it!!"
