All over the area today, people will be remembering the events of September 11th, 2001. There are many tributes and remembrances happening this evening in Putnam County and throughout the Hudson Valley.

It's been 17 years since the tragic events unfolded in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania, and ceremonies throughout the area will remember those who lost their lives, lost loved ones, and were first responders.

Here's a schedule of some of the remembrances that are happening this evening in the Putnam County, and Hudson Valley area:

Carmel: 8 p.m. candlelight vigil, Spain Park, Route 52 and Fair Street.

Croton-on-Hudson: Buchanan, Cortlandt and Croton joint Memorial Ceremony, 4 p.m, Croton Landing Park. Shuttle service will be available to the site of the memorial.

Dobbs Ferry: 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, 6:30 p.m. Waterfront Park, Dobbs Ferry.

Mount Kisco: Memorial Service, 6:15 p.m. 100 Main St.

Ossining, Briarcliff Manor: Ceremony at 7 p.m.  Ossining Riverfront.

Yorktown: 17th Anniversary Remembrance, 5 p.m. Shrub Oak Memorial Pavilion,1130 East Main St., Shrub Oak.

East Fishkill: Memorial Ceremony, 6 p.m. Town Hall, 330 Route 376 Hopewell Junction.

Hyde Park: Candlelight Ceremony, 6:30 p.m. Paul Tegtmeier Memorial Site, Hackett Hill Park, 59 E. Market St.

Wappingers Falls:Memorial Service, 6 p.m. New Hackensack Fire Company, 217 Myers Corners Rd., Wappingers Falls.

Village of Wappingers Falls: Memorial Ceremony, 6:30 p.m. Mesier Park and Homestead at the Gazebo, East Main Street and Route 9D, Wappingers Falls.
