There's a lot of dead trees on I-84 in Middlebury...why? THIS MONSTER--

It's called a Feller Buncher according to my buddy Mike Josefson. Basically it's a giant saw attached to a crane, and it chews through massive trees in minutes. They're playing catch-up along I-84 through Middlebury. Years of neglect have left massive trees within 30 feet of the highway, and that isn't good. Vehicles don't do well crashing into trees at 75 mph. And trees don't do well in hurricanes or stiff breezes. So, yes, the tree hugger in me wants to hug those poor trees, but, I would like to keep hugging trees for a long time, and I drive 84 5-6 days a week...so, trees, ya gotta go. I'm waiting for the influx of wildlife into my backyard. There's a lot of homeless birds, chipmunks and squirrels now in Middlebury.
