There's been so much controversy over the last few years about stores that start their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving. This year, there are a number of stores that have decided to actually close and not open until early Friday morning.

It’s a holiday that's about spending time with family. But It's not the shoppers that are affected, they have a choice to shop or not. It's the employees of these retailers that have had to cut their Thanksgiving dinner short to be at work.

Best Black Friday’s latest list shows many national retailers WON’T open their doors on turkey day this year. Almost half of them have stores in Danbury, and Brewster.

Here's a look at the latest list as of right now:

  1. Ace Hardware
  2. Babies R Us
  3. BJ’s Wholesale Club
  4. Burlington
  5. Costco
  6. Dressbarn
