Yes ladies that is a big number 23% of men will spend less than an hour on Christmas shopping.  Here's what I think:

I know my girlfriend has been talking about Christmas shopping since October 1st.  I pretend to be interested and glaze over and stare off into the distance.

I don't do this because I don't respect her but because I don't care.  The kids are going to get everything they want.  I have a 5 and 6 year old so I've been doing this awhile and no matter what I get them what they want and if they don't get the hot toy of the day I don't care and they actually won't either.  Christmas morning is loaded with excitement and joy and if your kid opens all their gifts and does not get the "Mega, ultra exclusive Ninja Turtle" and cries about it then you whiffed somewhere along the line.  I like to think my boys are an extension of me and have my mental imprint.  They are still however kids so while I don't care about popular fads, they might.  On the flip side they have bought into fads in years past and have asked for things that I did not get them.  They did not notice.  I think that is a testament to my emotional parenting.  They have been given all the tools they need so far to understand that life can be great but is often disappointing.  I don't tell them life is a toilet yet but I will.  I'm proud that my kids are grateful for what they have and they will stay that way if it kills me.

As for my girl:

That is easier.  I already know what I'm getting her and she does not want a lot but I still will.  .
