223 Years Ago Today The Way We Communicate Changed

HOW you ask??? February 20th 1792 President George Washington signed legislation creating the U.S. Postal Service.

223 years later we all know the struggles of the Postal Service. I have to tell you though that this girl still LOVES to get mail.

I know we have become a world obsessed with all things "Social" media related. So many ways to communicate with the touch of a finger and in a flash...BUT there is something to be said for going to the mailbox.

In the hustle and bustle of today's world so many pleasantries go by the wayside. I used to love walking to the mailbox with my mom, chatting up the neighbors, and seeing what arrived via the mail.

Yes , I too, have become ensconced in the world of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tunblr but today I take a moment to salute the U.S. Postal Service.
